I can hardly believe it’s only been a month since Wholeheart officially set up shop in Gainesville! It’s been a whirlwind of exciting conversations and connecting with new friends, partners, and clients. I couldn’t be more grateful for the support and encouragement the community has shown me– and excited about the future!
Behind the scenes, we’ve been focusing on our own lil launch campaign to build recognition in the local community and promote our GNV Content Packages. We’ve also started to build out our local team of talent and further integrate into the Gainesville business scene.
Here are a few highlights from Month 1 of our Gainesville Era:
Launched our GNV Content Packages
I wanted us to come to market with an intriguing, bite-sized service that delivers something cool, unique, and valuable at a price point that local businesses can afford. Before Gainesville, we operated mostly on retainers for monthly marketing support, which is a hard sell to a new audience before we’ve fully integrating into the community.
So we rolled out GNV Content Packages, which provides a photo/video shoot and ready-to-publish social media content for local brands. It’s available as both a one-off service or on discounted monthly/quarterly plans.
We want to empower local business owners to create better and more effective social media content that actually aligns with their business goals and vision. This service is designed to do that, through ready-to-go content and supporting assets to help with in-house content creation.
Our First Two Local Clients!
Looks like the GNV Content Packages are finding their audience– we booked two clients in our first month!
We are so thrilled to be teaming up with House of Yin- a collective of independent wellness practitioners, and Persimmon Early Learning Academy– a set of schools serving K-5th and below. The shoots are scheduled for December and we couldn’t be more excited! In the meantime, there’s plenty of prep work to do.
In the spirit of behind-the-scenes, we did fail to close on one potential client who was considering the service. Can’t win ’em all!
Our First Local Team Member!
Welcome to the team, Morgan! With a background in photo, film, and graphic design, Morgan will help lead photo and video capture during client content shoots.
Building a local team is a key part of our vision for Wholeheart, and this hire marks the beginning of that journey. We’re excited to continue growing our team, bringing on both creative talent as well as strategic and supporting roles.
Joined the Gainesville Chamber
One of the first things I did when I got here is join the Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce. It seemed like a great way to start integrating into the local business community, and it’s been exactly that. I’ve been impressed by all the events and meet-ups they offer, from small business group discussions to more casual after-hours gatherings.
I was even able to meet with some of the chamber leadership to share my vision for Wholeheart and our plans for Gainesville. They were super helpful and encouraging– 10/10 experience.
Exciting Partnership Talks
This isn’t the time or place to really spill the beans, but I’m grateful to have had several exciting partnership conversations with local entrepreneurs, agencies, institutions, and community figures.
This is a testament to the collaborative spirit of Gainesville, and the undercurrent of business opportunity that exists here. It’s the reason I wanted to move to Gainesville in the first place. So many serendipitous interactions with inspiring and ambitious people who want to do big things and make the world a better place.
Looking Ahead in our Gainesville Era
Our first month in Gainesville has been nothing short of incredible, and we’re just getting started. From launching new services to building relationships and growing our team, we are so excited to contribute to Gainesville’s vibrant community and helping local businesses thrive.
